ULISSE PTZ and HOV housings enhance security of the Serbian pipeline

Videotec has collaborated on the development of the IP-based project for the video monitoring of the pipelines, that stretch from Serbian border to the Adriatic sea.

The first part of the project was realized on the Krk Island, Adriatic sea with some ULISSE PTZ IP-based cameras and HOV housings.

The Day/Night network cameras were installed into the HOV housings with IR illuminators to allow the night vision. These housings could solve one of the main critical issue caused by the excessive summer heat of the environment.

In fact they have an efficient cooling system that keeps the inside temperature steadily reduced, thus allowing the proper functioning of the IP cameras.

For the 360° continuous monitoring of the critical areas, the ULISSE IP-based PTZ cameras could be remotely controlled by video servers.

Another critical issue, successfully solved was the local strong wind, named Bora, that reaches speeds over 200km/h.
The Bora wind was not a problem for ULISSE PTZ cameras: they withstand a wind force of 210km/h (130,5mph) stationary and 160km/h (99,4mph) operationally.
